March 19, 2020 – Fuel cell specialist Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH, located in Puchheim, Germany, is supplying APEX Energy with ten 100 kW outdoor containers. The on-grid hydrogen installation is set to be launched this coming June.
The Rostock-based company APEX Energy Teterow GmbH has awarded Proton Motor Fuel Cell a contract worth approximately five million euros. In total, the supplier will deliver ten on-grid, container-integrated fuel cell systems for an electrical output of 100 kW. The first on-grid hydrogen installation is set to go into operation on June 12, 2020. The first four turnkey systems are being manufactured and installed right away, and six more outdoor containers for reconverting hydrogen energy into electricity will be added by the end of 2021. The contract between the two companies also covers servicing and maintenance for the fuel cell solutions once they are in operation. A license agreement for products and services beyond those mentioned is also in the pipeline.
