The cooperation is being further expanded. ees Europe, Europe's largest and most international exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems, and InterBattery, South Korea's leading battery exhibition, are continuing their partnership in 2025. In addition, the cooperation will be extended to Power2Drive Europe, the international exhibition for charging infrastructure and e-mobility, as part of the exhibition alliance The Smarter E. This is because an important joint target group is the automotive industry, whose value chain will include battery production in the future.
After a successful start in 2023, visitors to ees Europe and Power2Drive Europe can look forward to the InterBattery Europe Showcase exhibition area for the third year in a row, where around 200 exhibiting companies are expected – including renowned industry giants such as Samsung SDI, LG Energy Solution and SK On. Last year, 79 companies, 68 of them from South Korea, exhibited in this additional exhibition space at ees Europe.
With the InterBattery Europe Showcase, which focuses in particular on innovations in the upstream sector, ees Europe presents the entire spectrum of the energy storage industry to its visitors. And the exhibitors at Power2Drive Europe are expanding the business area for batteries to include electric vehicles and buffer storage for charging infrastructure. This means that all market leaders in the global battery industry will be represented. Targeted networking opportunities will also give them the chance to make valuable business contacts. This is interesting both for the energy storage sector and for the automotive industry, which must increasingly focus on electromobility and thus on EV batteries and their production.
The InterBattery Europe Showcase will be ideally complemented by the Battery Day Europe conference on the first and second day of the exhibition (May 7 / 8, 2025).
The upcoming conference will provide a comprehensive insight into the world of electric vehicle batteries, covering topics ranging from current regulations and the safety of battery materials to pioneering technologies and business trends.
Special attention will be paid to the Korean-German cooperation in the ReLioS network for innovative approaches in battery recycling. The conference will also take a look at EV battery production technologies.
