Munich/Pforzheim, June 6, 2023 – If we want to meet our climate protection goals, the mobility transition is an important cornerstone: That’s why we need to reinvent transportation. E-mobility is already rapidly gaining momentum all over the world. Power2Drive Europe will be showcasing the mobility of the future and visitors will be able to experience it firsthand. From the exhibition forum and the conference to the debut of the Power2Drive AWARD and a large outdoor exhibition area – the international exhibition for charging infrastructure and e-mobility has an extensive accompanying program in store. It also offers visitors an ideal platform to explore the latest trends, technologies and business models while meeting the industry’s visionaries and decision makers. Power2Drive Europe is part of The smarter E Europe, taking place alongside Intersolar Europe, ees Europe and EM-Power Europe at Messe München from June 14–16. More than 2,400 exhibitors as well as 85,000 visitors from 160 countries are expected to attend.
The world of mobility is part of a system of tightly knit sectors: The key to powering our mobile lives is the smart combination of photovoltaics (PV), storage and e-mobility. For example, sector coupling in parking lots is making a major contribution to the development of an extensive e-mobility charging infrastructure, with ev charging points providing PV electricity. Power2Drive Europe will offer extensive insights into the industry’s development. Charging system manufacturers such as KEBA, EnerCharge, Siemens, Wallbox, Webasto or Zaptec and many others will be participating in the international exhibition for charging infrastructure and e-mobility in Munich.
Power2Drive Forum offers exclusive insights into the industry
This year, about 250 exhibitors will be part of Power2Drive Europe alone. In total, The smarter E Europe will feature around 400 companies with cutting-edge e-mobility technologies. The Power2Drive Forum in exhibition hall B6 offers a series of expert presentations with comprehensive insights into the dynamic development of the mobility transition. For instance, on the first day of the exhibition, the session “CPO & EMP – the Backbone of the Mobility Transition” will be discussing the significance of utility companies, such as municipal utilities, in the energy and mobility transition. It will be followed by the lecture Fast vs. Slow Charging: Pros & Cons, which will cover the facts, challenges and economic viability of different charging technologies with either direct or alternating current. The panel Electrive Fleet Special: E-fleet – Solutions for Fleet Managers will be shedding light on various aspects and types of applications for the implementation of electromobility in companies, highlighting the challenges fleet managers are facing.
Power2Drive Europe Conference and open-air networking

Power2Drive AWARD makes its debut
The Power2Drive AWARD will be presented for the first time at the ICM Munich on the eve of the exhibition. The award honors technologies and business models that are reinventing mobility. The finalists comprise companies that have developed innovative products and services that are paving the way for a new world of mobility. The Power2Drive AWARD encourages industry experts to use their knowledge to create a sustainable future and to become an indispensable part of the mobility transition.
Take an e-car for a spin
After its huge success in 2022, the Outdoor Area will be expanded this year: Curious trade visitors will get the chance to test-drive e-vehicles from renowned manufacturers. Companies such as Tesla, Kia, SKODA, Lucid or Lotus will offer visitors the opportunity to get behind the wheel for a first-hand e-car driving experience. The registration is located in the Power2Drive Forum in hall B6. Don’t forget to bring your driver’s license!
